ResponsibilitiesCut, trim, and prepare a variety of meats (beef, pork, poultry) to company standards and customer requests.Ordering & Inventory: Responsible for ordering product and maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure freshness and minimize waste.Maintain clean and sanitized work areas, tools, and display cases in accordance with health and safety regulations.Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with special orders and offering preparation tips.Prepare house-made items such as sausages, kabobs, or marinated meats.Monitor refrigeration temperatures and ensure proper product rotation (FIFO).RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience as a Butcher or Meat Cutter in a retail or wholesale environment.Deep knowledge of various meat cuts and proper fabrication techniques.Experience with ordering, inventory management, and vendor relations.Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols.Ability to use industrial grinders, saws, and knives safely.Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy product (up to 50 lbs).
