- Supervises the activities of children at the school site and ensures that established philosophical principles, educational curriculum, safety and conduct procedures of the Adventure Club program are followed.
- Actively participates in the program.
- Directs all work activities of the Adventure Club Mentors assigned to the Site.
- Reports to work on time and maintains accurate hourly records of work time.
- Provides a positive role model for children and staff.
- Clearly conveys instructions that are developmentally appropriate and nurturing to each child.
- Redirects children in a patient and understanding manner. Following Adventures Clubs Behavior policies
- Manages students plans activities, documents attendance or discipline problems supervises playground activities, and maintains positive relationships with children and parents.
- Training hours required for Licensing and Grant funding will be made a priority
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with key building staff members.
- Plans weekly staff meetings with Site mentors
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a Human Development field. (Examples: Elementary and Secondary education, Child and Family Development, Social Work and Counseling)
Experience
Proven ability to work with children in group settings. Strong communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
To manage the day-to-day operation of a School Site including, planning, recruitment, instruction, curriculum, facility management, and staff management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Site Coordinator is hired for 229 days per school year. Daily sessions are three hours in length, with additional time used for staff meetings, training, and extended day care. Compensation is according to the non-certified salary schedule and based upon position category, experience and years of service. Non-certified benefits are offered according to full versus part-time status and explained in the district's benefit brochure.
EVALUATION
Performance for this position will be evaluated according to board policy. The Program Director and Assistant Director will be responsible for conducting the evaluation.
