Part-Time Teaching Assistant - High School Special Education

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support high school students with special education needs. This vital role involves working closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Duties

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check
• Must hold an IL paraprofessional license
• To obtain a paraprofessional license, an applicant can be qualified by one of the following: for more information see ROE #39: https://www.maconpiattroe.org/page/how-to-become-a-paraprofessional
• Associate’s degree or higher
• 60 semester hours of coursework
• High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
• Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
• Reading for Information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)
