What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional Day/ Medical position at Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC?
One of our residential programs located in Albany, NY currently has a part-time 30-hour Direct Support Professional-Day/Medical position available. The shift for this position is Monday- Friday 8am-2:30pm*, (*denotes a 30-minute daily unpaid lunch break). The rate of pay is $20.00 per hour, and this is an hourly, non-exempt position. Direct support professionals provide care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This includes helping with daily routines like getting ready, cooking, cleaning, administering medications, and enjoying community activities together.
Some support may also involve personal care such as toileting, lifting/transferring, or assisting with medical needs (like g-tubes).

- 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
