What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Residential Manager position at Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC?
One of our residential programs located in Latham, NY currently has a full-time, 40-hour Assistant Residential Manager (ARM) position available. The schedule for this position is Sunday 8am-10pm, Monday & Tuesday 1pm-10pm, and Wednesday 8am-4:30pm (* denotes 30-minute unpaid lunch break)*.
The rate of pay is $21.50 per hour differentials.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The ARM will support and care for people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. The Assistant Residential Manager assists the Residential Manager to ensure the program is running safely and effectively.
This can include but is not limited to assisting the people with getting ready for the day or going to bed, cooking, cleaning, administering medications, and enjoying community activities together.
Some support may also involve personal care such as toileting, lifting/transferring, or assisting with medical needs (like g-tubes)

- At least 18 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent = preferred
- At least 9 months of experience working with people who have Intellectual or other Developmental Disabilities = preferred.
