Job Title: Lower School Spanish Teacher (Grades 1–5)

Compensation: $52,500 – $67,500 annual base salary (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and energetic Lower School Spanish Teacher to lead our Grades 1–5 Spanish language program. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners through an immersive, communicative, and culturally rich curriculum that builds foundational language skills, cultural appreciation, and confidence in speaking to prepare for our middle school program and beyond.

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Spanish language instruction tailored for students in Grades 1 through 5.

• Develop a communicative, student-centered curriculum incorporating games, music, storytelling, technology, and interactive activities.

• Establish a supportive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to language acquisition.

• Integrate cultural lessons to broaden students’ global awareness and appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures.

• Assess student progress regularly using diverse formative and summative tools, communicating growth clearly to parents and administration.

• Collaborate effectively with faculty, grade-level teams, and administration to support cross-curricular initiatives and school community life.

• Duties as assigned by administration 

• Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Spanish, World Language Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal).

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching Spanish at the elementary school level preferred.

• Skills: Strong classroom management skills, deep understanding of child development, and proficiency in integrating technology into language instruction.

In compliance with California pay transparency laws, the expected base salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $52,500 to $67,500 annually. Final offer amount depends on factors including relevant experience, educational credentials, and specialized skills.
