**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**

**Direct Services**
- Conduct outreach, assessments, and individualized support to potential residents, including assisting in obtaining and preparing the required documentation to ensure alignment with housing voucher eligibility.
- Provide case management, Mobility Mentoring® coaching, and resource referral to residents as needed, assisting residents through problem-solving, direct support, intervention, de-escalation, and mediation, as necessary.
- Utilize trauma-sensitive coaching, a 2-generation orientation, and motivational interviewing and support in collaborating with residents.
- Link residents with existing community resources and systems that provide them with support, services, and opportunities to assist them moving towards economic and personal self-sufficiency, exhibiting resourcefulness, and ensuring proper referrals are made in collaboration with internal and external resources.
- Facilitate connections for residents to additional onsite programming.
- Maintain a keen sense of emotional intelligence, reliability, and flexibility to navigate complex issues at any given time without judgement. Assists residents through problem solving, direct support, and intervention, as necessary.
- Assess crisis situations and apply de-escalation techniques, as necessary.
- Provide coverage of front-desk responsibilities as necessary, ensuring seamless operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection and entry into data management, fulfilling essential documentation and reporting obligations.
- Attend weekly team meetings and other specified meetings/trainings as required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Property Management to increase participants' housing stability and overall sense of well-being.
- Coordinate and collaborate with additional Warren Village staff, as needed.
- Assist with Warren Village at Alameda resident engagement opportunities, as needed.
- Support the administration of resident surveys and other data collection activities, as needed.
- Assist with intern task supervision.
Competencies
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively assess and manage crisis situations, utilizing trauma-informed approach s to de-escalate tensions, ensure safety, and maintain a supportive environment.
- Commitment to the mission, goals, and values of Warren Village.
- Technology systems aptitude. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work evening and Saturday hours within the work week. (Schedule upon start may be Tuesday to Saturday. Schedule may include some evenings up to 7:30pm.)
- Flexibility to adapt schedule to meet the evolving needs and dynamics of the community.
- Proficiency in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing methodologies.

- Minimum/Required Qualifications**:
- Associate's degree (AA) from two-year college or technical school in Social Work, Human Services, or 4 years of related experience may be substituted for education.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish languages, proficiently communicating verbally and in writing.
- Experience in case management and/or navigation services, direct homeless services or working with low-income families.
- Experience in managing crises effectively, particularly with adults.
Preferred Education, Eligibility Requirements (Certifications, Licenses, Etc.), And/or Experience
- Lived experience in homelessness or housing instability, including an alum of Warren Village.
- Bachelor's (BA) degree or Master's (MA) degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field.
- Experience in Supportive Housing, Housing First, and Harm Reduction.
- Experience in crisis intervention, including intimate partner violence.
- Experience working with culturally diverse people.
- If driving is required, employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive Warren Village vehicles.

- Work Environment**: The working environment is typically that of an office using a personal computer, adding machine, and other equipment.
- Physical Demands**: While performing the responsibilities of the position, must constantly be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must have the ability to observe details at close range.
