What are the responsibilities and job description for the WMS ALE/Asst. Girls Basketball/Asst. Soccer Coach position at Warren Middle School?
Job Goal
To provide instructional, behavioral, and emotional support to students placed in the Alternative Learning Environment program in order to improve academic achievement, behavior, attendance, and social skills while helping students transition successfully back into the traditional classroom setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide instruction aligned with district curriculum and Arkansas Academic Standards
- Develop and implement individualized academic and behavioral plans for students
- Create a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment
- Utilize behavior intervention strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, and support staff regarding student progress and interventions
- Conduct conferences with parents/guardians as needed
- Assist students in developing social, emotional, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information
- Supervise students during assigned duties and transitions
- Ensure compliance with district policies, state guidelines, and federal regulations related to ALE programs
- Prepare reports and documentation required by the district and state
