Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control programs to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases
- Conduct surveillance and monitor patient and staff exposure to infectious diseases
- Identify and investigate outbreaks, and develop strategies to prevent and control outbreaks
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure proper infection control measures are in place
- Provide education and training to patients, staff, and families on infection prevention and control measures
- Develop and implement wound care protocols and guidelines
- Monitor and report on wound care outcomes and quality metrics
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees as needed
Qualifications:
0 years of experience in infection prevention and wound care
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) or willing to obtain certification before hire
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with infection prevention and control guidelines and regulations
