What You'll Do
- Assigns work to technicians and manages the jobs while in the shop.
- Communicates with shop supervisor and customers as job progresses.
- Assist Shop Supervisor with opening and closing work orders and sees that customer is invoiced correctly.
- Responsible for a timely flow of work through the build process making sure deadlines are met.
- Responsible for overall quality coming out of the shop & seeing that all quality control sheets are filled out in their entirety.
- Assist with coaching of staff and managing resources to achieve company goals in the area of employee and customer satisfaction, market share and profitability.
- Understand reference materials and a comprehensive understanding of financial coding processes.
- Responsible for loading and unloading of Rental equipment or components.
- Assist Shop Supervisor and PSSR's in quote & adder process.
- Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
- Responsible to mentor team members.
- Ensure safety policies and procedures in the shop are adhered to.
- In-depth knowledge of company's products, policy and procedures.
- Pro-actively establish effective relationships and support others in achieving high performance.
- Fill in as the Shop Supervisor on an as needed basis.
- Complete all assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.
- Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A technical background related field is required.
- Must possess hands on knowledge in most areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge of CAT DBS Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Office Suite Word Processing software.
- Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
- Successfully complete Work steps assessment.
- Will be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift.
- May require MSHA certification Other Skills and Abilities.
- Flexibility to work other schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call.
- Must be certified in air-conditioning.
