- Meet the standards of effective leading, as outlined in the Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching and the Compass Evaluation Rubric
- Serve as the leader for the grade-level teams and ensure that all students and staff are actively achieving goals
- Manage the school culture team to ensure a safe and positive school environment
- Implement the accountability plan for instructional staff and support staff and maintain workflows across the entire school that support compliance, student needs and programming
- Attend, support and represent the school at school, student and community events
- Attend and support meetings for ONEAPP, ESS/IEP, SAT (Student Assistance Team)
- Participate in annual review of school policies and procedures, Master Schedule, operational practices, Pupil Progression Plan (PPP), student and staff handbooks, assessment practices and vendor evaluation
- Support in recruitment and development of instructional staff in order to achieve long term retention goals
- Directly manages the grade-level team and ensures they are meeting goals
- Conduct regular meetings with faculty and with department chairs, which deal both with routine school matters and with the stimulating exchange of ideas on issues of educational/philosophical interest and concern
- Observes, supervises, and helps evaluate the faculty in the development and implementation of curriculum
- Supervises the writing and approval of staff professional development plans
- Serves as a role model to encourage faculty self-evaluation, professional growth, scholarship, and effective training
- Assists in the planning and the presentation of school assemblies and programs
- Oversees the grading and the reporting of standards and methods used by teachers in measuring student achievement
- Represents the CEO positively to all constituencies
- Performs other duties assigned

Requirements
- Holds a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Educational Leadership
- Holds and/or Eligible for Educational Leader Licensure by the Louisiana Department of Education
- Former teaching experience 5 years
- Former experience coaching and supporting teachers
