Grade IV Cafeteria Helper

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Perform all food preparation duties as assigned for breakfast and/or lunch

· Daily cleaning of all kitchen, dining, and storage areas

· Serve food at proper temperatures and directives

· Maintain accurate records (production, food temperature charts, etc.) as required

· Adhere to all policies of the district and the contracted food service management company including serving guidelines, sanitation, safety, health regulations and dress codes

· Report production and serving concerns to the Food Service Director, Cafeteria Manager, and/or appointed agent

· Help with food preparation, cleanup, storage, etc.

· Perform cashier duties

· Prepare menu as directed and ensure correct utensils are used for serving to ensure correct portions are being served

· Adhere to use of personal protective equipment as supplied by the contracted food service management company

· Complete all daily production sheets

· Present a positive image of oneself and the district

· Display food items to customers in an attractive manner

· Work effectively and efficiently with little or no food waste

· Treat all customers and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner

· Communicate openly in a positive manner and work as a team member to maintain a good working atmosphere

· Other duties as assigned by the contracted food service management company, Director of Business Services or designee appointed by the Superintendent

Pay: $14.35 per hour
