REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate required, some college preferred; preference will be given to accounting
or finance majors
Has met state requirements for a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky state law and health
requirements as specified in district personnel policy
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Has knowledge of record keeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledgers and Excel
Exhibits the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately
Has knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment to include: use of personal computer, filing
principals, excel spreadsheets, financial and statistical record keeping techniques
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance/Accounting Intern is to assist with the effective and efficient operation of Board financial matters by
providing assistance with such duties as clerical support and data input.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & EVALUATION CRITERIA
Performs clerical duties in the maintenance of assigned account and projects
Performs responsible record keeping duties with a high degree of skill and accuracy
Assists in preparing periodic entries in appropriate journals/registers and reports
Files and inputs data accurately for occupational tax office
Assists with other clerical duties within the finance office, as needed
Learn, interprets and applies/explains rules, regulations and policies related to occupational tax
Plans and completes work on a timely basis
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
Maintains desk and work area in a neat and organized manner
Provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders by utilizing interpersonal skills such as tact, patience and
courtesy
Is consistently responsible and displays an attitude of honesty and credibility
Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO or his/her designee

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is primarily sedentary. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
The work at times requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or
pull light weights.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Number of days worked will be determined by the current school calendar adopted by the Warren County Board
of Education. Salary shall be commensurate with adopted classified personnel salary schedule. Leave accrual will
be as stated in Board Policy
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Warren County Board of Education
policy on evaluation of classified/certified personnel. Evaluations will be conducted by the CFO or his/her
designee.
