POSITION: Public Health Registered Dietitian
AGENCY: Warren County Health District
DEPARTMENT: WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
LOCATION: Franklin Satellite Office primarily
HOURS: Full-Time 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
PAY GRADE: Pay Grade 6, Starting Salary Range - $28.25 to $37.40 hourly
(Starting pay is commensurate with experience)
POSTING PERIOD: This notice is being posted for a period of time not less than seven (7) consecutive and until position is filled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics program. Must maintain Dietitian license issued by Ohio Board of Dietetics per Section ORC 4759.06; and be a Registered Dietitian through the Ohio Commission of Dietetic Registration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:
Good oral and written communication skills; Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations; first aid practices; medical technology; personal hygiene; community resources and services; grant writing; basic office practices including computer skills; English grammar and spelling; records management; human relations; counseling; interviewing; sociology; nutrition; public relations; case management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the WIC Director responsible for conducting nutritional and dietary interviews of clients; collects and interprets medical and anthropometric data on potential clients, including Hemo Cue test; determines eligibility of potential clients; provides direct/in depth nutrition counseling; develops nutrition care plan; educated clients on nutrition care plan.
