Reading Specialist Teacher- Warren Community Elementary School

Position Title: Reading Specialist Location: Quaboag Regional School District Reports to: Director of Student Support Services Funded by: General Budget Qualifications: Holds a valid DESE or National Reading Specialist license Experience with specialized reading programs preferred Knowledgeable about Massachusetts Frameworks and Common Core State Standards Must possess knowledge of state and federal special education law and regulations Experience working with students with disabilities Working knowledge of educational and office technology Organized with effective communication skills Responsibilities: Provide consultation for IEP Teams and/or specialized instruction Conduct educational assessments, write reports, and present at IEP team meetings Write IEP goals/objectives, progress reports Actively participate in IEP meetings Monitor student progress for Tier 2 instruction Coach special education teachers and paraprofessionals Scheduling for inclusion/pullout and paraprofessionals Familiarity with positive behavior interventions and supports Write effective lesson plans to coincide with goals and objectives to assist staff Possess the skills and ability to work well with students, staff, and parents Collaborate with coworkers and administration Salary: Per QEA Bargaining Unit Agreement Closing Date: Open until filled Start Date: TBD Apply to: Dr. Kirsten Esposito Quaboag Regional Middle High School 284 Old West Brookfield Road Warren, MA 01083 Quaboag Regional School District ensures equal employment and educational opportunities for its employees and students.
