What You'll Do
- Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
- Provide repair recommendations and perform minor service repairs in both field and shop.
- Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS Web, STW) to complete job within an accurate and timely manner.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- General knowledge of diesel or gas engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
- Clean driving record and CDL or ability to obtain the CDL within 60 days of employment, must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.
- The ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
- May be required to complete a DOT physical.
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
