Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Functions
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations on a recurring basis
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Conduct account analysis and support accurate, timely financial reporting
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve transactional errors between operating and financial systems on a daily basis
- Maintain alignment between inventory systems and financial records, including monthly inventory balancing
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
- Participate in ERP system implementation, upgrades, or enhancements, including testing, data validation, and process documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data flow between operational and financial systems during and after ERP deployment
- Assist in developing and refining system-driven workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
- Assist with tax-related support and documentation as needed
- Manage annual dealer license renewals and related filings
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Take on special projects and cross-functional tasks as needed
- Support operational initiatives that may fall outside traditional accounting responsibilities
- Contribute to building scalable processes and infrastructure in a startup setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience (or equivalent combination)
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with shifting priorities
- Proven ability to turn around assignments quickly without sacrificing accuracy
- Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibilities beyond core job scope when needed
- Provide occasional support for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, cash applications, and vendor/customer issue resolution
- Step in to assist with transactional accounting activities during peak periods or when necessary
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in small teams
- Capable of presenting information clearly to internal stakeholders
- Open to in-office or hybrid (office/work-from-home) work arrangements

- Occasional travel (up to 10%)
