Responsibilities
- Assist with IT general controls (ITGC) testing and documentation as part of financial statement audits
- Support SOC 1 and SOC 2 examinations through control testing, evidence review, and documentation of testing procedures
- Assist with internal controls and business process review engagements, including documentation of process narratives, flow diagrams, and risk/control matrices
- Perform control testing across financial reporting, operational, and IT areas
- Build collaborative relationships with team members and clients by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively and professionally
Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Familiarity with basic internal control concepts is helpful but not required; training will be provided on applicable best practice control frameworks
- Genuine curiosity about technology and how it intersects with business risk and controls — no prior IT audit experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- CPA or CIA (or progression to) preferred
- Works well on a team but can also manage work individually
- Self starter, with attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
