Warren Averett Recruiting is assisting a client in the Huntsville, Alabama area with the search for a Financial Analyst. This position offers the opportunity to partner with operational and financial leadership while supporting reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and distribute recurring financial reports and management dashboards
- Perform quantitative analysis and summarize key business trends and performance metrics
- Assist with month-end close activities, financial reporting, and inventory-related processes
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, spreadsheets, and analytical models using Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify reporting needs and improve processes
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reports and financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting, finance, or financial analysis experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with business analytics, reporting, data visualization, or data mining tools preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
