Position: ABC Classroom Teacher (LEAD)
Accountability: Program Coordinator, Laci Bratton & SEACBEC Director, Devin McDiarmid You are subject to all WSD policies and procedures.
Work Assignment: 8 hours
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in child development education or a related field with the requisite number of (12) hours in early childhood and, or child development. Or be actively working on obtaining.
Daily Duties Included, but not limited to:
- Greeting each child in a positive way.
- Plan and execute classroom and outdoor activities.
- Seeing to the welfare, health, & safety of the children in your class and others you are in contact with throughout the day.
- Creating and implementing lesson plans that are age appropriate.
- Conducting R.I.S.E. Launchpad daily during whole group instruction.
- Perform (3) R.I.S.E. assessments on each individual student annually.
- Maintain WSS documentation and record findings.
- Be present at (2) PTC meetings and have work examples for families.
- Implement CLASS procedures and be open to coaching from coordinator and outside agencies.
- Work directly with the paraprofessional to maintain a neat and organized classroom.
- Maintaining confidentiality, restricting information about children and families to those with the need to know.
- Carrying out the program of the center in accordance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Maintaining all necessary paperwork.
- Document any behavior that needs assistance for a Behavior Modification Plan.
- Play, talk, and interact with the children during center time.
- Attending all professional developments required by your job.
Periodic Duties:
- Attend all staff training and parent meetings.
- Attend any event sponsored by ABC, such as special events.
- Bus room monitoring/car line monitoring.
- Agree to be observed by teacher cadets or teacher prep program students.
