Full time (Night shift, 36 hrs/wk, 6:30pm – 7:00am, schedule will include weekend and holiday rotation)
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of medical and administrative professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality health care to patients of all ages by administering medications, implementing physician protocols and maintaining detailed patient records. The successful candidate will have a background in Emergency Medicine and be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Expected pay for this position is $35.97 to $45.57 per hour. Actual rate will be determined by multiple factors, including experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly non-exempt position.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the physical and psychosocial well-being of patients, families and professional staff.
- Help patients and their families deal with stress and make informed decisions.
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the healthcare team.
- Communicate with professionals and patients to help them understand their diagnoses, treatment plans, and care options.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
- Provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois
- One year recent Emergency/Critical Care experience as an RN, or two years Medical/Surgical experience. Paramedic experience may be considered toward the critical care requirement.
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification within 30 days of hire
- ENPC, TNCC, and NRP within one year of hire
- TNS preferred
Physical/Mental Requirements:
May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
Salary : $36 - $46
