Your New Role...

The New Businesses team is leading the creation of new, standalone products at CNN, and focused on the creation of separate, non-news experiences that can help enrich our users’ lives and drive the subscription business.

We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and audience-obsessed Director of Product Management, New Business to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution for our Health & Wellness product

The ideal candidate will know how to deliver 0-1 products across multiple platforms in a fast-paced and matrixed environment. You will partner with your fellow design, engineering, program, and editorial leads to prioritize delivery on time, and you are eager to roll up your sleeves, be involved with every detail, and help execute. You will manage the roadmap for the Health & Wellness to ensure releases are delivered against company business goals.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Partner with senior leadership to define the product roadmap, aligning with user needs, value propositions, and market opportunities

  • Champion the voice of the audience, translating user needs into product features and experiences that engage and build loyalty

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery to iteration

  • Partner with engineering, editorial, and design to deliver high-quality features on time and at scale

  • Work closely with growth, data, and marketing teams to ensure product will support audience goals

  • Collaborate with research to clarify key product questions at the right moments with user research

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, fostering strong partnerships with executive stakeholders and functional leads to maintain a unified strategic vision

  • Define and monitor product success metrics, regularly reporting out progress and learnings to leadership

  • Lead and coach a growing team of product managers, fostering a culture of clarity, impact, and innovation

  • Partner effectively and efficiently with platform teams to align on roadmaps in support of the product

Your Qualifications & Experience...

  • 10 years of experience in product management, with a strong track record in consumer digital products—ideally in media or wellness content

  • Proven ability to lead in matrixed, cross-functional environments with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong strategic thinking, product intuition, and decision-making grounded in audience insights and data

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to distill complexity into clarity for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with product analytics, A/B testing, and iterative optimization to drive engagement and retention.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where curiosity, experimentation, and urgency are highly valued.

  • Passion for journalism, news, and CNN’s mission to inform and empower audiences around the world.

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done.
