What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position at Warnecke Professional Counseling?
We are seeking Associate Professional Counselors (APCs) in Georgia to join our outpatient behavioral health practice. This is a direct clinical service role for licensed APC clinicians who are actively working toward LPC licensure and able to function within an outpatient practice setting.
This position is only appropriate for clinicians who:
- Are currently licensed in Georgia as an Associate Professional Counselor (APC).
- Are actively pursuing LPC licensure and already have an approved external clinical supervisor.
- Understand that this practice does NOT provide clinical supervision toward licensure.
- Are prepared to maintain compliance with all Georgia LPC supervision requirements through an outside supervisor arrangement.
👉 Our Clinical Director provides clinical oversight of practice operations only, not licensure supervision.
To respect your time, please do not apply if you are:
- Seeking employment that includes LPC licensure supervision
- Not yet licensed as an APC in Georgia
- Looking for coaching, internship, or pre-licensure placement
- Unable to independently secure and maintain an external LPC supervisor
- Seeking fully remote “gig-style” therapy work without clinical structure or accountability
We are looking for APC clinicians who are:
- Licensed in Georgia as an APC and legally able to practice in an outpatient setting
- Already established with (or actively securing) a qualified LPC Supervisor outside of our practice
- Comfortable managing a clinical caseload independently within practice guidelines
- Strong in documentation, ethical practice, and clinical follow-through
- Seeking a stable, structured outpatient clinical environment to grow long-term
- Steady, established client referral flow (no need to build from zero)
- Supportive administrative infrastructure (scheduling, billing, intake coordination)
- Clear clinical expectations and documentation systems
- Collaborative outpatient environment with professional autonomy
- Opportunities for long-term placement and caseload growth
- Flexible scheduling within practice hours
- APC clinicians operate under their own external LPC Supervisor relationship
- Our Clinical Director provides practice-level clinical oversight only (operations, quality assurance, and workflow standards)
- This structure supports clinician independence while maintaining strong clinical integrity within the practice
This is an independent-contractor, fee-for-service position.
Compensation is competitive and based on:
- Clinical experience
- Caseload capacity
- Schedule availability
- Service type mix
Details will be discussed during the interview process.
To ensure alignment, please include the following in your response:
- Confirmation of current APC licensure in Georgia
- Name or confirmation that you have an external LPC Supervisor secured
- Current or expected supervised hours progress toward LPC licensure
- Brief summary of your clinical interests and populations served
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
