This is a production-based field position that represents the company at the customer’s property. Professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy are mandatory.

The Lawn Care Applicator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and professional application of lawn fertilizers, herbicides, and related turf health products to residential and commercial properties. Primary Responsibilities
- Apply granular and liquid fertilizer and weed control products according to label specifications and company protocols
- Calibrate and operate ride-on and push spreaders, sprayers, and related application equipment
- Properly mix liquid applications following labeled rates and company-approved mix sheets
- Follow scheduled route assignments efficiently and accurately
- Read and interpret property maps, notes, and application history
- Identify turf conditions, weeds, and potential lawn issues
- Leave detailed service notes for customers and office staff
- Communicate findings and upsell opportunities when appropriate
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked trucks
- Load and unload products safely and accurately
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues immediately
- Strict adherence to pesticide labels and SDS requirements
- Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding pesticide application
- Wear required PPE at all times during mixing and application
- Maintain a clean spill-free work environment (chemical spills are a major liability)
- Safely operate company vehicles, including large cab-over trucks
- Follow all DOT and company vehicle policies
- Protect customer property at all times
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer interaction skills
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- State pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
- Prior lawn care or agricultural experience
- Experience calibrating spreaders and sprayers
- Basic plant and weed identification knowledge
- Competitive hourly wage (DOE)
