We are looking for experienced Direct Support Professionals to join our Hampton and Virginia Beach teams, to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals in their home or community setting, assisting with daily activities, developing individualized plans, and advocating for the rights of the individuals they serve. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans.
- Provide transportation to medical appointments and other activities.
- Ensure that all services are provided in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in caregiving and direct support roles
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Familiarity with assisted living and group home environments
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Strong patient observation and care skills
- Experience in long-term care and social work settings
- Competence in cooking and maintaining cleanliness in living spaces
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
