What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Warminster Medical Associates?
We are currently seeking an experienced medical receptionist for our busy family practice.
The preferred candidate will be able to offer excellent customer service to our patients, will be able to answer patient's questions and provide assistance when necessary. They will possess strong communication, time management, and computer skills. Prior experience with insurance verifications and working in a medical receptionist role is required.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients upon arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
- Scheduling appointments over the phone and in person for a multi-provider high volume practice.
- Verifying insurance coverage.
- Handling up to 6 phone lines.
- Assisting in maintaining patient flow.
- Processing physician referrals.
- Performing insurance verifications/ authorizations.
- Collecting patient and insurance payments and reconciling charges.
- Provide information to the patients regarding unpaid balances.
- Assisting with taking messages, sorting faxes and scanning medical documents.

The schedule for this position varies between day and evenings as well as one Saturday per month.
