Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role based in Westminster, CO. The technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential heating and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and related components. Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, completing preventive service checks, and installing or replacing HVAC equipment as needed. The role involves communicating clearly with customers, explaining findings and options, and ensuring work areas are left clean and safe. The technician will also complete accurate service documentation, follow safety and compliance standards, and collaborate with dispatch and team members to deliver timely, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for residential HVAC systems, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance for heating and cooling equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, including professional communication, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.
- EPA certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) for safe handling of refrigerants.
- Relevant HVAC training or technical education; state or local HVAC licenses/certifications are a plus.
- Experience with residential HVAC service in the field, including use of standard tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, lift and move equipment as needed, and follow all safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
