What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Swim Coach position at Warm Springs Gators Swim Team?
Our team begins practice in the spring and is part of the East Bay Swim league. We will start practices on or around April 1st 2026. Practices will be held from 4pm - 830pm M-F from April through the end of May. Starting the first week of June when school gets out, the practices switch to the morning from 7am - 1130am M-F until the second week of July. Swim meets will be held on Saturdays starting in May. They will be every Saturday except Memorial Day and 4th of July weekends.
Role Description
This is a part-time position for a Head Swim Coach for the Warm Springs Gators Swim Team, located in Fremont, CA. The Head Swim Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing swim training programs, providing swim instruction, conducting swim lessons, and overseeing team practices. The role involves lifeguarding duties when required and ensuring a safe and productive environment for all swimmers. The Head Swim Coach will also manage assistant coaches and liaise with parents and team members to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Swim Instruction and conducting Swim Lessons
- Proficient in Swimming and Aquatics
- Lifeguarding skills and certifications
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Experience in competitive swimming coaching is a plus
