What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender Daytime position at Warhorse Whiskey Bar?
Warhorse Whiskey Bar is hiring for the position of daytime bartender. The weekly time commitment will be approximately 35 hours over 5 shifts. We are the liquor lounge attached to Gaines Street Pies. We are hiring for daytime shifts on the following schedule:
- Wednesday 1:30PM - 10:30PM
- Thursday 1:30PM - 10:30PM
- Friday 10:30AM - 5:30PM
- Saturday 10:30AM - 5:30PM
- Sunday 10:30AM - 5:30PM
The position involves:
- Serving beer, wine, and cocktails
- Setting up the bar for service
- Assisting Gaines Street Pies with food service during the lunch rush
- Prepping juices and garnishes for the night shift.
Financial compensation comes from several sources:
- $13.00 per hour
- Customer tips
- Tipout from nighttime bar staff for prepping garnish and juice.
Bartending experience is preferred but not required. A work history in full service restaurants or casual service restaurants is required. Work as a coffeeshop barista also qualifies as experience for the position. A broad base of knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is helpful.
The day's workflow starts with setting up the bar. That is followed by assisting Gaines Street Pies with their lunch rush. Bar prep is done during the early afternoon. The happy hour starts mid afternoon and lasts until the end of the shift.
