CDL Hazmat Truck Operator (Day Cab)

Duties

• Safely operate a manual transmission tractor-trailer, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
• Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) following strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, safety checks, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders when necessary to coordinate deliveries or address issues promptly

Experience

• 2 years CDL experience with Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery operations
• Hands-on experience operating manual transmission trucks in various configurations such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks
• Prior work involving freight handling, load & unload procedures, and safe cargo securing techniques
• Familiarity with Hazmat regulations and proper handling procedures for hazardous materials transportation
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT compliance standards related to trucking and hazardous materials transportation
• Delivery driver experience with a track record of punctuality and safety in fast-paced environments
• Willing to work in Mining Conditions to operate pumping/augering functions - training will be provided.
