General Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work-related experience in technology
- Demonstrated working knowledge of computer applications, including: word processing, spreadsheets, database management, email, internet searching, and computer file management
- Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamental office skills, including basic bookkeeping, filing, phone etiquette, proofreading, and typing/keyboarding skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of professional ethics
- Excellent human relations skills
- Extensive knowledge of computer desktops and operating systems
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Communicates courteously and professionally through positive customer service skills
- Provides support to Manager of Information System and completes work orders as assigned
- Assists users to resolve computer-related problems
- Maintain district-wide inventory of computers, peripherals and district-owned software
- Evaluates work load and capacity of computer systems to determine feasibility of expanding or enhancing computer operations
- Installs new programs in computers
- Sets up new computers and does basic networking
- Provides technical support for hardware and software
- Maintains standards specified in Professional Performance Expectations for District 118 Employees
Reports to
- Director of Technology
Terms of Employment
- Wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and the Danville Education Association
