Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling of food grade goods and materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and minimizing delays.
- Communicate effectively with Office and Warehouse personal regarding updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Assist with yard duties such as staging trucks for upcoming deliveries or repositioning equipment as required.
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and current medical certification.
- Experience operating automatic transmission trucks in a commercial setting.
- Proven truck driving experience with freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification is a plus) for loading/unloading freight.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
