SUMMARY:
Maintains an efficient and adequate amount of supplies and materials by ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment by performing the following duties. Assists in the installation and setup of new campuses and/or classroom wing additions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Maintains district mainframe inventory system; inputs data for all incoming and outgoing merchandise as per the requisitions.
Generates computerized reports as needed for such items as delivery schedules, price lists, warehouse requisitions, etc.
Maintains an accurate accountability of all requisitions in the computer. Posts receipts and shipments on a daily basis.
Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
Processes receiving, discrepancy and damage reports and shipments reports as required. Maintains an adequate supply of goods and materials. Supervises receipts of all shipments.
Assists in the installation and setup of new campuses and classroom additions. Pulls and distributes work orders for completion by warehouse clerks. Compiles monthly inventory results and reports findings. Assigns new stock numbers for new items being received. Maintains good rapport with district staff and vendors.
Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items in conjunction with warehouse clerks.
Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
Maintains accurate inventory records.
Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment, and strives to continuously promote the safety, health and comfort of all students and employees in the performance of duties. Maintains confidentiality.
Maintains an effective working relationship with parents, community and colleagues. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.
Maintains professional growth by attending in-services and meetings, as requested/required. Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
