Role Description

Warehouse-Lighting is seeking a Product Specialist to support the Product Management team in the execution, coordination, and maintenance of our growing portfolio of proprietary WareLight products and third-party manufacturer offerings.


This role serves as a key resource between Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Vendor Partners. The Product Specialist will help manage product information, coordinate vendor communications, support technical product inquiries, and assist with product launch activities to ensure accurate information and efficient execution across the organization.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, technically curious, and enjoys working cross-functionally to solve problems and keep projects moving forward. Key Responsibilities

Product Information Management

  • Maintain and organize product specifications, certifications, installation instructions, technical documentation, and related product resources.
  • Coordinate product information updates from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Assist with product pricing updates and product data maintenance.
  • Ensure product information remains accurate and consistent across internal systems and website listings.
  • Research and compile product information requests from internal departments.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for routine vendor and supplier communications.
  • Coordinate requests for product information, specifications, certifications, samples, and technical documentation.
  • Support communication with domestic manufacturers and overseas suppliers.
  • Assist Product Management with sourcing-related projects and supplier follow-up activities.

Sales & Customer Service Support

  • Assist Sales and Customer Service teams with product-related questions and information requests.
  • Research technical product inquiries and coordinate responses with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts related to product applications, specifications, and installation questions.
  • Assist with warranty investigations, quality concerns, and product issue resolution.
  • Help maintain internal product knowledge resources and training materials.

Product Team Support & Reporting

  • Maintain project trackers and department reporting tools.
  • Track outstanding action items related to product launches, vendor requests, and product maintenance.
  • Assist with special projects related to product development, sourcing, vendor management, and operational improvements.

Product Launch & Lifecycle Support

  • Assist Product Management with new product launch activities.
  • Coordinate collection of launch materials including specifications, images, certifications, and marketing assets.
  • Support Ecommerce and Marketing teams with product setup requirements.
  • Assist with ongoing product maintenance and product lifecycle activities.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product management, customer service, vendor management, ecommerce, purchasing, supply chain, or technical support.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, ecommerce platforms, or product information management systems.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn commercial and industrial lighting products.
  • Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
