Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA standards and ANSI standards to ensure construction site compliance.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across construction sites to identify hazards related to electrical safety procedures, NFPA standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead safety training sessions, including first aid and CPR certification programs, to empower workers with essential emergency response skills.
- Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to occupational health, workers' compensation claims, and overall EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) initiatives.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety protocols into daily operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA and construction safety management best practices.
- Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, inspections, training logs, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
- Stay current with evolving construction regulatory compliance standards and provide guidance on implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA 30 requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, occupational health, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards, and ANSI standards related to construction.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and construction management practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train teams on safety procedures and foster a culture of compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction management software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, hazard mitigation techniques, and occupational health best practices.
- Valid certifications in OSHA 30-hour training, first aid/CPR, and other relevant safety credentials preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across diverse teams while ensuring strict adherence to construction safety regulations.
