Job Description
The Assembler I will be responsible for performing set-up, assembly, packaging, and preparation operations in compliance with approved documentation and QSR requirements. This role requires attention to detail, quality focus, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform set-up operations for assembly, packaging, and preparation tasks.
Execute line clearance, equipment preventive maintenance, and housekeeping duties.
Assemble, repair, inspect, and/or test products following written or verbal instructions.
Assist Engineering and Maintenance teams with troubleshooting, maintenance, and equipment repair.
Complete and maintain documentation related to manufactured products and equipment maintenance.
Perform and document routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Dispose hazardous waste in designated areas according to procedures.
Support continuous improvement activities (e.g., 5S, OEE).
Participate in equipment installation and validation processes.
Contribute to problem-solving efforts related to product quality.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills while maintaining product quality.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions under guidance of Supervisor/Manager.
Collaborate with Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, QC Technicians, and Management to drive process improvements.
Handle semi-routine assignments requiring judgment in problem resolution and recommendations.
Remain aware of quality consequences that may arise from improper performance of job duties.
Maintain awareness of potential device defects related to product design, verification, validation, manufacturing, and testing.
Exhibit professional behavior with internal/external business associates in line with company policies.
Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Minimum Qualifications | Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
0–3 years of related experience.
Basic communication and writing skills.
Ability to troubleshoot proven processes with limited judgment.
Experience working in a quality system environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of regulations (FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc.).
Basic understanding of manufacturing systems (documentation, compliance, inventory control, production scheduling/controls
