Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher for students in Elementary and Middle Schools PreK-6
- Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
- Establish a classroom environment where all students feel valued, challenged, and supported.
- Integrate real-world applications and interdisciplinary connections to support authentic learning and transfer.
- Use culturally responsive instructional strategies that honor students’ identities, experiences, and perspectives.
- Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers as partners in student learning.
- Engage in continuous professional learning aligned to district priorities and instructional best practices
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to improve instruction and student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records related to instruction, assessment, and student progress.
- Uphold district policies, professional ethics, and Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements.
- Contribute positively to the school community and district culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure for grade levels.

- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
