What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Teacher - Grade 8 position at Ware Junior Senior High School?
Ware Junior High School is seeking a strong addition to our very successful 8th grade team. The successful candidate will teach a range of mathematics courses.
Major Responsibilities
- Implement all Mathematics lessons/activities from curriculum specifically designed to coincide with the Massachusetts state frameworks.
- Function as a member of a team and work collaboratively with both math department staff and other academic areas in order to successfully integrate challenging concepts into a dynamic curriculum.
- Ability to manage classroom affairs, adjust to various audiences and learning preferences, and demonstrate a good sense of humor.
- Adapt to a continually evolving workplace that will be embracing the new Common Core state mandates as well as the new teacher evaluation process.
- Assist the administration in implementing District goals and policies related to the educational and operational needs of the District.
- Attend staff or team meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
- Maintain and improve professional competence.
- Perform any other related task or duty at the direction of the building principal or assistant principal.
Salary : $54,373 - $93,870
