COUNTER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Overview: Founded in 1950, Wards Marine Electric is a third-generation, family-owned business. As an industry-leading marine electrical company based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with offices in Riviera Beach and Safe Harbor Rybovich, we provide dockside and shipyard service for power distribution systems on yachts of all sizes, marine electrical engineering services, panelboard, and switchgear design and fabrication, and act as the leading supplier of marine electrical equipment for contractors in South Florida. We are seeking a dynamic counter sales representative with expertise in marine electrical products and services.
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
- Greet and welcome all customers.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with orders, shipments, and any questions pertaining to products and services.
- Complete data entry tasks regarding sales transactions and shipments.
- Educate new and existing clients on all company services and products while seeking out opportunities to upsell.
- Maintain the cleanliness, displays, and inventory of the showroom.
- Meet and exceed implemented sales goals.
Minimum Skills and Special Requirements:
- Have a working knowledge of marine electrical products and services.
- Basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Professional communication skills in various formats, including email, telephone, and face-to-face sales.
- Must have a friendly and outgoing demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with Sage is a plus.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED Certificate.
- At least two to three years of experience in the marine electrical industry.
