Ward Veterinary Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Pet Groomer to join our growing veterinary team. This position offers a flexible 3–4 day work week during normal clinic hours and is ideal for a groomer who enjoys working in a professional veterinary setting while providing high-quality grooming care for pets.
Our clinic has an established client base and provides a supportive environment with access to a bathing station, grooming table, and kenneling areas.
Schedule
- 3–4 days per week
- Clinic hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay
- Commission-based compensation

Responsibilities
- Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning
- Evaluate coat and skin condition and report concerns to veterinary staff when needed
- Maintain a safe and calm environment for pets during grooming
- Ensure grooming equipment and workspace remain clean and sanitary
- Communicate with pet owners regarding grooming needs and recommendations
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Ward Veterinary Services professionally
Qualifications
- Previous professional pet grooming experience required
- Ability to groom a variety of breeds and coat types
- Comfortable working with dogs of different sizes and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and animal handling skills
- Ability to work independently and manage grooming appointments
- Reliable and professional with strong communication skills
Preferred Experience
- 1 year professional grooming experience
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or grooming salon
- Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styling
