Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, preferably within a public accounting firm. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting for our clients and/or company operations. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and/or individuals.Conduct tax research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management or clients.Assist in tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities.Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and support the resolution of tax audits.Gather necessary financial information and documentation from clients or internal departments.Stay current on new tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff and interns.Identify opportunities for process improvements in the tax compliance function.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting a plus.Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and compliance, ideally in public accounting.CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure is preferred.Strong working knowledge of tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex tax issues.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
