Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and lawn care to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively for mowing, edging, trimming, and planting projects
• Support tree trimming and hardscape installation or repair to enhance landscape aesthetics and safety
• Remove snow using shovels, snow blowers, or plowing equipment to maintain clear walkways and driveways during winter storms
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to assist with proper landscape care and maintenance

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued
• Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment is a plus
• Experience with groundskeeping or lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, or gardening is advantageous
• Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, or pesticide management is beneficial
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery such as trimmers, blowers, or irrigation systems safely
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments
• Enthusiasm for working outdoors in various weather conditions with a proactive attitude toward maintaining beautiful landscapes

Job Duties

• Fall & Season Finish: Complete our 40th season strong with lawn mowing, trimming, and turf upkeep.
• Landscaping: Assist with new landscape installations, planting, mulch, and hardscape projects.
• Clean-ups: Execute efficient fall leaf clean-ups and seasonal property prep.
• Winter Work: Transition into snow plowing and winter property maintenance when the snow flies.

Requirements

• Preferred 1–2 years of hands-on landscaping or general outdoor labor experience.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Snow plowing experience is a major plus!
