Summary
The Production Control Coordinator is a detail-oriented and results-driven professional responsible for tracking, analyzing, and communicating the daily production status within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong data management skills, cross-functional communication, and the ability to identify trends and resolve issues to support on-time delivery (OTD) performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Launch jobs into production to meet the original scheduled ship date and/or production schedule.
- Transact raw materials into the job when job is physically moved to production or as material is needed per routing step.
- Capture and track daily manufacturing status for all open job lines scheduled to ship within a 4-week horizon.
- Maintain a visual status board of all open job lines due in the current month.
- Identify potential late jobs and coordinate recovery actions to achieve on-time completion.
- Detect and resolve material issues impacting OTD performance in collaboration with Purchasing.
- Investigate late jobs, categorize issues, and prepare Pareto analyses for problem resolution.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and rolling OTD metrics and performance reports.

Technical Skills & Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a machine-based manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process routers, machine setup time vs. cycle/run time, and labor vs. machine hours.
- ERP/MRP system experience highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting for performance tracking and improvement.
