Role Description:
The Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abingdon, MD. The Installer will be responsible for completing a variety of residential installations, including kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, exterior doors and windows, siding, and specialty spaces such as custom storage solutions and built-ins. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting project plans, measuring and preparing work areas, safely operating hand and power tools, installing fixtures and finishes to specification, and ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and building code requirements. The Installer will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other trade professionals, maintain a clean and organized job site, and interact professionally with clients to support a positive remodeling experience.
Qualifications:
- Tiling experience is needed.
- Residential installation experience in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, basements, exterior doors/windows, or specialty spaces, with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and specifications, and follow project plans accurately.
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools, basic carpentry skills, and familiarity with safe work practices and building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot installation challenges, and adapt to unique or custom design requirements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting respectfully with clients on active job sites.
- Reliable transportation to Abingdon and job sites, consistent punctuality, and ability to work full-time with occasional flexible hours as projects require.
- Physical ability to perform installation work, including lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various home environments.
- Previous experience in home remodeling, construction, or related trades is preferred; trade certifications or apprenticeship completion are a plus.
