We are seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)/Trained Medication Employees (TME) to provide support for our supported persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Positions are available for Day Shifts - 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
Our Direct Support Professionals/Trained Medication Employees provide supportive personal care and companionship services. DSPs coach, supervise, monitor, and assist our persons with daily activities such as shopping, meal preparation, entertainment, medical appointments, financial management, physical fitness and recreation, community access and relationship building, emotion management and coping skills, and helping to maintain a healthy home environment.
In addition to the care, support and assistance of our supported persons, the DSP/TME has the responsibility of medication administration, under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

To qualify for the Direct Support Professional:
- Minimum of 21 years of age and a High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities strongly preferred.
- Ability to pass DC Department of Health (DOH) Fingerprinting and Background Check.
- Must submit a Health Certificate (physical and Tuberculosis clearance) indicating fitness for employment.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written communication form.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and use proactive strategies to deliver quality services.
- Computer proficiency (i.e. MS Office).
Licenses/Certifications:
- First Aid and CPR certified
- Food Sanitation License
- Washington, DC TME (Trained Medication Employee) certification highly preferred.
- Valid state-issued identification (Driver’s License, Non Driver’s License)
