Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout the Carolinas. We are seeking an Intake Specialist to join our Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, or Wilmington office.
Under the supervision of the Intake and Conflicts Supervisor the role of the Intake Specialist is to interact with prospective clients to ensure a quality relationship between the prospective client and the Firm. In this capacity, the Intake Specialist will communicate with prospective clients to gather initial case information, submit requests for conflicts check, work with each practice section to determine if the Firm will open the matter, and work with attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of opening or declining the new matter. The Intake Specialist will provide a high level of personalized and proactive support to the attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of client intake. This position will occasionally serve as back-up for Conflicts Specialists.
Applicants should be team-focused, a self-starter, multi-task oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment. The Intake Specialist must have exceptional customer service skills. Successful candidates will be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college courses preferred. Two years' experience in a professional services environment highly preferable. Law firm experience a plus.
