We are seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal to join our Asheville, New Bern, Raleigh, or Wilmington office.
The role of the **Labor and Employment Paralegal** includes, but is not limited to, supporting attorneys and other paralegals in the Labor and Employment Section in the acceptance, organization, investigation and resolution of labor and employment matters; drafting court documents, correspondence, and memos; drafting discovery as well as complex pleadings, conferring with all parties involved; docketing; keeping schedules; maintaining files; monitoring progress; and following up to ensure all required actions are completed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic; exceptional time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent client communications and service; proficient technology skills, including, but not limited to, MS Office Suite, PDF, and general online research; and meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills. The paralegal must be able to work independently, collaborating with team members as needed.
A Bachelor's Degree or a combination of three - five years' experience with an Associate's Degree from an Accredited Paralegal Technology Program through the American Bar Association. Must have a NC Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain same.
We are offering a generous sign-on bonus of $5,000 to direct hires for this position.
