What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Typist 2025-2026 position at Wappingers Central School District?
- Utilizes a keyboard to prepare letters, payrolls, reports, bulletins, applications and a variety of other material from rough draft.
- Answers telephone and acts as office receptionist, giving out information of routine nature.
- Operates a copying machine, calculator, computer, fax machine, or other simple office machines.
- Maintains simple accounting and a variety of other records in accordance with prescribed office routine.
- Sorts, indexes, and files.
- May enter data into terminal from forms and printed copy.
- Does related work as required.
Upon completion of the hiring process, including all mandatory paperwork, candidates for all substitute positions must receive WCSD Board approval as a WCSD substitute prior to starting assignment date.
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
NOTE: A performance test in keyboarding will be required
Fingerprint clearance through NYS TEACH (NYSED) is required (Applicant for Employee)
