Materials Planner

Wanco Inc. is seeking a Materials Planner in our Arvada, CO production facility.

Wanco Inc. is seeking an experienced Materials Planner in our Arvada, CO production facility. The Materials Planner will be responsible for authoring, managing, and supporting all aspects of the ERP material planning system for both purchased and manufactured materials.

Key areas of accountability include managing S&OP meetings and process, establishing and deploying logic for all MRP and Pull item attributes within a low volume / high mix industrial manufacturer, defining the process for uploading and exploding monthly forecast, roll monthly min/max levels, and provide all reporting required.

What you need to have:

• An applicable Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 or more years' experience working in a manufacturing and or supply chain environment.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing a forecast explosion / deployment process.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing both pull and MRP logic within an ERP system.
• Demonstrated experience with pull inventory systems such as min/max or reorder point.
• Data analysis and management including ability to create exports, scripts, etc.
• Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Detailed and demonstrated knowledge and experience with MRP systems, item attributes, and pull inventory methods.
• Analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Effective relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Strong organizational skills are a must.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn and become SME on all aspects of MRP, PRP, supply and demand, and item master attributes within Plex ERP system.
• Developing and deploying forecast exploding procedure.
• Updating / deploying monthly forecast.
• Supporting ECR process by setting up all new items with applicable planning attributes.
• Provide purchasing and production with necessary buy / build signaling.
• Provide applicable KPIs and reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Mobility to work in and office and factory setting including use of standard office equipment, including a computer. Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing facility and adhering to PPE requirements.

Some travel may be required.

Reporting:

This position has no direct reports and reports to operations management.

Salary Range: $27- $35 per hour depending on the experience.
