Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and promote specials to boost sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling protocols at all times.
- Manage cash handling duties including cashiering, basic math calculations, and processing payments swiftly and accurately.
- Ensure responsible serving by monitoring guest intoxication levels and complying with alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering, banquet events, or nightclub functions to deliver seamless service experiences.
- Uphold all food safety standards, including proper food handling procedures, to guarantee guest safety and satisfaction.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills by balancing multiple orders during busy hours while maintaining quality service.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, restocking bar items, and minimizing waste.
- Provide outstanding customer service by creating a lively atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food safety, food handling, and responsible alcohol service is essential.
- Strong skills in retail math, cash handling, and basic math are required for efficient transactions.
- Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing or mixing cocktails is a plus.
- Prior experience in catering or large event service will be beneficial in managing high-volume periods effectively.
